A Note from Your PTO President

Hello McKillop families!

Welcome to August! We have less than a week before school starts. Can you believe summer is almost over? The PTO board has been busy this week helping the teachers get ready for Meet the Teacher on Monday, August 10th, and then don't forget that we are all going to Chalk the Walk on Tuesday, August 11th before school officially starts on Thursday!

Be sure to stop by our Spirit Wear table at Meet the Teacher as well as our PTO board table for all of our information and to answer any questions you may have. If you want to be a room mom for your teacher, this is where we can answer all those questions!

One quick heads up before you dive in: Membership Toolkit accounts reset every summer, so even if you were with us last year, please take a moment to renew. And please update your student's teacher information that you received this week. That is how we will deliver spirit wear orders after school starts. It's also how this newsletter reaches you!

Update Your Membership Toolkit Account

This is separate from student registration emails you may be receiving from the district this week.

Membership Toolkit is how we send the weekly newsletter, volunteer sign-ups, and PTO updates. Accounts reset every summer, so even if you used it last year, a quick renewal is needed before school starts or you'll miss our communications.

Log in at mckilloppto.org, confirm your contact info, and update your student's grade level. Be sure to update your child's teacher information that you received this week!

Chalk the Walk

Help Us Chalk the Walk!

Join us as we kick off the school year by covering the sidewalks at HME with encouraging messages for our students, teachers, and staff! Whether it’s a kind word, a fun drawing, or a cheerful “You’ve got this!”, every message will help create a warm welcome for the first day of school.

Tuesday, August 11

4:00–7:00 PM

@ HME

Sidewalk chalk will be provided, so just bring your family, your creativity, and your school spirit! Stop by anytime during the event and help us fill HME with kindness and encouragement.

We’re also excited to have @Hawaii Five-Sno joining us with delicious snow cones available for purchase while you chalk!

We can’t wait to see our HME families and make this a fun new back-to-school tradition. Go Cardinals!

Spirit Wear is Coming in Hot This Year!

Our Spirit Wear team has been busy this summer dreaming up fresh new designs for the McKillop PTO shop, and we can't wait to show you what's in store.

Coming soon: Back to School Bundle preorders! Each bundle will include your choice of one of our new designs, dry erase markers for your student's classroom teacher, and a Cardinal car decal. Everything you need to kick off the year in style.
